Sanchez -- Laura C. Sanchez, age 86, went home to her eternal rest on Thursday, January 9, 2003. Our Beautiful, Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister was revered by all who knew her. Her tender and loving manner will always be cherished. Laura was born on January 13, 1916, to Antonio Jose and Concepcion Chavez in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Sanchez; her great-grandson, Daniel Griego; and great-granddaughter, Dominique Yannoni. She is survived by three sons, Reuben Sanchez, Jr. and wife, Linda of Las Vegas, NV, Raul Sanchez, Diego (Harpo) Sanchez of Albuquerque; six daughters, Dinah Martinez and husband, Ricardo, Lorraine Sanchez, Linda Griego and husband, Joseph, Bennie Sanchez, Vivian Stanton and husband, Mike of Scottsdale, AZ, Therese (Kutchy) Gomez and husband, Tony, all of Albuquerque; one sister and two brothers, Sarah, Albert, Orlando (wife, Rose) Chavez; 20 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services for Laura will be held on Monday, January 13, her birthday, at El Buen Samaritano Methodist Church, 7th and Granite NW, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Jesus Bermudez will officiate. Burial will take place at El Evangelico Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her beloved grandsons, Richard Satarain, David Sanchez, Sean Sanchez, Richard Damon Gutierrez, Phillip Paiz, Jr., Andrew Griego, Reuben Griego and Leon Zambrano. Visitation for Laura will be held on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.
