Doerfer -- Rose L. Doerfer, age 82, a life long resident of Albuquerque died December 16, 2001. She is survived by her children, Charlene and Dr. Marvin Bowman of NM, Rex Doerfer and wife, Marina of NM, Betty Stone, husband Bill and their son, Jason of TX, also three grandchildren. Rose is preceded in death by her husband, H.B. Doerfer; sisters, Mary And Kathy Petrovich, Jennie Bertallie; brother, Jonny Petrovich. Rose will greatly be missed by Sissy her devoted dog. Rose was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, the German Club, the VFW 409, the American Legion Post 49. She was a Justice of the Peace for 9 years and owned AA Bail Bonds with her husband H.B. Doerfer for 30 years. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 19, 2001 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE. Services will be Thursday, December 20, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. in the Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary with Rev. Linda Dyer officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. If desired contributions can be made to The Animal Humane Association 615 Virginia SE. Strong-Thorne Mortuary is entrusted to her care.
