Faruki -- Zuhdi T. Faruki, age 86, passed away peacefully in the presence of his family on February 25, 2003. He was born in Jerusalem, Palestine. He came to the U.S. in 1951. He was a professor of philosophy at UNM in the 1960s. He also taught at Texas Tech and at Prescott College. He was a respected scholar and educator and traveled extensively. He will be remembered by all those whose lives he touched. He is survived by his brother and nephews and nieces. For those wishing to offer condolences, the family will hold an open house at his nephew, Majed's residence this Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. If needed please call 823-2286.
