Gibanica -- Evelyn Gibanica, age 84, died Thursday March 13, 2003. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Samuel Gibanica on May 6, 2000. Evelyn was a delightful woman who loved to be around people and laugh. She was a dearly loved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her daughter, Diane Deflon-Ray and husband, James; her son, Stephen Gibanica and wife, Judy; grandson, Eric Deflon; granddaughter, Stacy Jackson; and great-grandchildren, Brandon and Victoria Deflon survive her. Her sisters, Kathleen Bellingar and husband, Lee and Johnnie Mae Wesson; nieces, nephews, friends, also survive Evelyn and a faithful Basset Hound named Rumbles. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Reception will be held at Aspen Funeral Alternatives, 1935 Juan Tabo NE, on Thursday March 20th at 11:00 a.m.. Private interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
