Carson -- Eleanore K. Carson, 97, a resident of Albuquerque since 1961, died Monday, March 17, 2003. She is survived by her grandson, John T. Carson of Las Vegas, NV; granddaughters, Eleanore Lynn Shoemaker of Albuquerque and Jeanne L. Tanefski of Las Vegas, NV; grandson, Ronald Z. Shoemaker, Jr. and wife, Jenny of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Julia K. Petty of Loxahatchee, FL; and great-grandchildren, Vicki, Chris, Shea, Zach, Mark and Joseph. She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Carson; son, John R. Carson; and daughter, Eleanore Jill Shoemaker. Mrs. Carson was the dedicated wife of an Air Force Major and she traveled the world. She was a devoted member of St. Luke Lutheran Church for a significant time of her life where she was very active. The family would like to thank the staff at Sandia-Manor Care and Vista Care Hospice for the special care and support they gave to Eleanore. Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 20, 2003, at 2:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
