Barry -- Helen Barry, 89, a resident of Albuquerque since 1941, died in Seattle, WA, Monday, March 17, 2003 where she lived with her son's family since 1991. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Pecha and husband, James of Albuquerque, son, Robert Barry and wife, Nancy of Seattle, WA; grandchildren, Alex and Elizabeth Barry; and sister, Angela Williams of Ruston, LA. Mrs. Barry was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 40 years, Robert Barry in 1981. She was born May 22, 1913 in Ruston, LA. She was a 4th grade teacher at Bel Air, Tomasita and Sombre del Monte Elementary Schools in Albuquerque for over 35 years. Mrs. Barry was a Charter Member of Hoffmantown Baptist Church. All who knew her were touched by her gentle compassion and we all are better people for having known her. Services will be held Friday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, with Pastor David Cauwels and Pastor Ken Moore officiating. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
