Burke -- Dale L. Burke, 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1951, passed away peacefully in his sleep Saturday, April 12, 2003. Dale was born April 23, 1918 in Oklahoma. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Martha H. Burke. Dale is survived by his three children, Hank Burke, Dr. Dan Burke, and Barbara Franklin all of Albuquerque; and six grandchildren, Marine Cpl. Adam Franklin, Nick Burke, Josephina Burke, Katie Burke, Ryan Burke, and Jillian Burke. Dale attended Northwestern University and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Dale served with the Army Air Force and was in the Pacific theatre during WWII. He later graduated from the University of Colorado School of Pharmacy in 1950 and retired from Walgreens in the 80s. Dale was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing at the Albuquerque Country Club and Los Altos courses. He was a loving and kind husband, father, grandfather, and friend. The family wishes to express a special heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful people at the Lovelace Hospice.Services are pending.
