Sims -- R. C. Sims, 57, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away April 30, 2003. He leaves to mourn his sons, Terrell A. Young of Phoenix, AZ, Mark A. Sims of Atlanta, GA, and Derrick R. Sims of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Toy Lynn Sims of Texas; sisters, Pair Lee Phillips of Albuquerque, Lannie Sims and Bernice Spencer, both of Denver, CO; and several nieces, nephews and grandchildren. His mother, Nicie Sims, preceded him in death. R.C. was born in Shreveport, LA and raised in Albuquerque where he graduated from high school and later entered the military service where he served in both the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy for over 12 years before being honorably discharged. A visitation for Mr. Sims will be Monday, May 5, 2003, 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home.
