Lujan -- Jose R. Lujan, SR., July 21, 1929--- May 3, 2003 He was preceded in death by his grandson Adrian Martinez, Jr.; great-grandson Robbie Gonzales, Jr, Roman, Flora, Albert, Herminio Lujan, Reymondo Sandoval and Benigna Sandoval. Jose is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margarita Lujan; children: Joe Lujan, Jr., (Ranger) and wife Debbie, Lily Martinez and husband Adrian, Gene Lujan and wife Mabel, Sofhia Madrid and husband Peter, Ray Lujan, Linda Lujan and Fiancé Leon Narvaiz; brothers: Alfredo, Roman, Estevan and wife Dolores, Manuel and wife Rosemary, Phillip and wife Helen; sister-in-law, Eluteria Lujan; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Jose was lifetime resident of Santa Fe and Pecos. He enjoyed going to the mountains to gather wood, and loved spending time with his brother, Alfredo. He was a great businessman, mechanic and owned his own gas station for 18 years. Jose also was a veteran of the US Army. Serving as pallbearers will be Jose Lujan, III, Juan Lujan, Fabian Lujan, Armando Martinez, Jerry Sandoval, Leon Narvaiz, Charlie Lujan and Jimmy Lujan. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, May 6, 2003 at 5:00 p.m. where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 7, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Berardinelli Family Funeral Service, 1399 Luisa Street, 984-8600.
