Rolando -- Beatrice (Betty) L. Rolando, age 55, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister was welcomed into the arms of the Lord our Savoir, Monday, July 14, 2003, while surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born in Las Vegas, NM and was a resident of Albuquerque. Betty enjoyed the simple things in life; she took great pride in her crafts especially tatting; best of all she loved spending time with her family. She was preceded by a son, Joel L. Rolando, January 24, 1990. Betty is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Lorenzo (Larry) Rolando of the family home; her children, Lorenzo M. Rolando, Jr. and wife Kathy, Bernard Anthony Gonzales both of Phoenix, AZ, Jennifer L. Rolando of Albuquerque, Julie Saavavdra and husband James of Los Lunas, Jerica Saenz and husband Lupe of Albuquerque; and 15 grandchildren. Also surviving are her parents, Cleofes and Evangline Tapia; two brothers, Felix Tapia and wife Melanie, Ernest Tapia and wife Maria both of Albuquerque; other relatives; and a host of friends. Betty will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those who knew and loved her. Visitations will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary.
