Sumners -- Mary Elenora Sumners, 85, Past Worthy Matron of Desert Rose Chapter 70 of the Order of the Eastern Star, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital on July 18, 2003 after a short illness. She was a life long resident of New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her husband James M. Sumners, a 32nd Degree Mason, her daughter Sylvia J. Molinar, Her sisters: Juanita Jenkins, Jessie Thompson and Charlene Martin. She is survived by her son Charles M. Sumners of El Paso, TX, her grandsons Greg Molinar of Albuquerque and Brett Sumners of El Paso, TX; nieces: Pat Lobb, Earlene Thompson, Cheryl Fears, Anita Zerrer, Tricia Carawford, Tammy Callaway, Dedyra Means, Julie Hovey and Ashley Means; nephews: Ronnie Hovey; John David, Matthew, Jason and Mike Fears, Chip Hovey, Shawn Callaway, Cody Means and Daniel Crawford; and other family and friends who loved and will miss her. Services will be held at Carlisle Plaza United Methodist Church at 10:30 a.m. on July 24, 2003, Pastor Andy Hustead officiating. Burial and Graveside service follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
