Chesshir -- Kannie Chesshir, 89, passed away Monday, August 18, 2003. She lived in Albuquerque from 1959 2000, and has spent the last three years in Rio Rancho, NM. She is survived by sons, Homer Chesshir and Jimmy Chesshir; daughters, Mildred Cooper and husband, Bob; Minnie Hoisington; Mary Ann Harris and husband, Roger; 15 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren. Kannie was preceded in death by husband, Harmon H. Chesshir and son, Harmon Chesshir. She was a member of Northdale Baptist Church. Services will be held Thursday, 10:30 a.m., at Northdale Baptist Church, 123 Osuna Rd. NW, with Rev. G. R. Patrick, officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menual NE. Pallbearers will be Rex Chesshir, Huey Morris, John Morris, Leroy Hoisington, H. S. Warren and Jeremy Warren. Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell Sanchez, Tyler Harris, Dalton Hysell and Michael Gomez. Friends may visit Wednesday, 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. The family wishes a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Kaseman Hospice for their kind and caring nature.
