Martinez -- Larry"Shorty" Martinez, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2003 in Albuquerque. He was born and raised in Grants, NM. Shorty served in the US Army and worked as a bricklayer. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Bernice P. Martinez; children, Larry Jr., Jerry, Annette, Eugene J.J. , and Paul; 14 grandchildren; two brothers, Benito and Frank; four sisters, Lydia, Rose, Nancy and Elaine; other family and friends who loved and will miss him. Memorial Services will be held at San Jose Parish, 2401 Broadway Blvd SE. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, August 20, 2003 at 6:00 p.m. A Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 21, 2003 at 8:30 a.m., burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. with military honors.
