Baca -- George"Cocen" Baca Sr., 71, passed away Friday, August 1, 2003 in Albuquerque. He was born June 23, 1932. He is preceded in death by his parents, Felipe and Eloysa Baca; son, George Baca Jr.; brother, Pablo Baca; sisters, Tila Garcia and Nora Rubi. George is survived by daughter, Lydia Yvonne Wright; son, Joe Baca; brother, Salome Baca; sisters, Lina Jaramillo, Marcella Baca, Julia Anaya; grandchildren, Carlos, Amber, Andrea and Angelic Baca; special friend and companion, Theresa Lucero. Services will be held at San Ignacio Catholic Parish, 1300 Walter NE. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, August 7, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. A Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 8, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Edward Rubi, Joe Garcia, Richard Martinez, Arturo Baca, Lenard Jaramillo and Lori Benavidez. Alternate pallbearers will be Diego Rubi and Ross Anaya.
