Nielsen -- Delon O. Nielsen, a long time resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, August 2, 2003. He survived by his wife of 40 years, Eleanor Nielsen; daughter, Eva Vigil and granddaughter Katia Vigil; brother, Delmar Nielsen and wife, Dortha of Price, Utah; brother, Glen Nielsen and wife, Marci of Huntington, Utah; brother, Boyd Nielsen of Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Myrtle Nielsen and sister, Verley Neil. Delon was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Second Division during the Korean War. He retired from Western Electric after 29 years. Delon loved fishing and hunting and was a great husband, father and grandfather. A Memorial Service will take place on Wednesday, 6:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
