Zeleny -- Jeanelle B. Zeleny, age 65, an Albuquerque resident of over 25 years passed away August 4, 2003 after a year and a half courageous battle with cancer. Jeanelle grew up and graduated high school in Artesia, NM where she meet and married her high school sweetheart. Survivors include her husband of 47 years Travis Zeleny of the family home; daughters, Elaine Scarcell and husband, Dennis of Rio Rancho, Laurie Zeleny of Dallas, TX; son, Greg Zeleny of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Evan and Ryan Scarcell and Travis J. Wilson-Zeleny. Jeanelle was a Christian and a member of the Northeast Church of Christ. She was a great mother, always thinking and putting her family first, her many qualities include her positive attitude and unselfishness. She was a good cook and loved to spoil her grandchildren. Jeanelle was a very classy and courageous lady. Viewing and visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 6, 2003 at Strong-Thorne Mortuary. Services will be held 1:30 p.m., Thursday, August 7, 2003 at Sunset Memorial Chapel with Mr. John Phillis officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Northeast Church of Christ Building Fund 11000 Paseo Del Norte NE, Albuquerque, NM 87122.
