Scrimshire -- Wiebke Ann Scrimshire, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2003.¯She was born May 27, 1933 in Weatherford, Oklahoma.¯Parents Ed and Elizabeth Umbach. Wiebke attended school at a multi-grade country school and Weatherford public schools where she graduated from high school in 1951.¯She further attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University where she received a degree in education in 1955.¯She taught school in Geary, Oklahoma for 4 years.¯Married Norton Scrimshire September 1, 1959.¯She and Norton celebrated 44 years of marriage, while he served in the Oklahoma and New Mexico Annual Conferences of the United Methodist Church.¯She was active in the United Methodist Women groups in all the churches where she was a member.¯Wiebke was a member of the Clayton chapter #8 Order of Eastern Star.¯She was a member of the Chapter AM PEO.¯Wiebke was preceded in death by her parents.¯She is survived by her husband, 4 children, Diane and her husband, Steve Reed of Dallas, Texas, Deborah Scrimshire of Albuquerque, David Scrimshire and his wife, Priscilla of Dallas Texas and Dan Scrimshire of Albuquerque; one sister, Carleen Clear of Weatherford, Oklahoma; one grandchild, Paul Scrimshire of Dallas, Texas; 7 nieces; 4 nephews; and numerous grand nieces and grand nephews.¯ Memorial services will be held¯Monday, 2:00 p.m., at Central United Methodist Church, 1615 Copper Ave. NE.¯Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Central United Methodist Church, 1615 Copper Ave. NE, 87106 or to the New Mexico Methodist Foundation, 7920 Mountain Rd.
