DOLESHAL -- David Vincent Doleshal, 83, a resident of Cedar Crest passed away in his sleep, September 5, 2003 at Robin House Nursing Home in Albuquerque after a long illness. He was born August 19, 1920 in Kansas City, KS to Vincent and Mary Doleshal. Dave is survived by his wife of 58 years, Blythe Roberts Doleshal; only daughter, Davra Clayton and husband, Phil, all of Cedar Crest, NM; granddaughter, Anna Martin and husband, Grant David of Albuquerque; and brother, Roy Doleshal and wife Jean of Bella Vista, AK. He was preceded in death by his sister, Irene Doleshal Thompsen in 2002. Dave graduated from Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, KS in 1938. He attended Kansas City Junior College where he was co-captain of the football team. Dave went on to Kansas University and then to Colorado State University. He was a pilot in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. Dave and Blythe married on VJ Day, August 14, 1945 and they moved to New Mexico where they fell in love with the mountains. They built their home in Cedar Crest which is a testimony to Dave's talents as an electrician, carpenter and plumber. Dave went to work at Sandia National Laboratories in the late forties where he worked until his retirement in 1986. His interests were many, enjoying activities such as photography, geology, playing softball,hunting, sports cars and boating. Dave was also a talented gunsmith. The family wishes to thank the caring staff and friends at Robin House Nursing Home for their care over the past several years. Services will be held Monday, 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Lomas Chapel, Sunday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. French Mortuary 10900 Lomas Blvd. NE 275-3500
