TOMELLOSO-OVERBY, ESTER Ester Tomelloso-Overby, wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend passed away Thursday, January 15th, 2015 at the age of 58 years. She was surrounded by her three children, husband, and family friend at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas. Ester was born in San Benito, TX, and spent her childhood in La Feria, TX. She lived in Albuquerque, NM for the past 19 years. Ester is survived by her husband, B. Lowell Overby; her children, Milena Leigh Overby, Nicolas Byron Overby, Paula Frances "Frannie" Overby; and the family dog, Atlas, who gave her much comfort. She also leaves behind her mother, Paula Tomelloso; five siblings, Cecilia Okuhara, Minnie Torres, Elivorio Tomelloso, Jr., Patricia Cantu, Victoria Canales; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends- all of whom were touched by her intelligence, selflessness, compassion, unwavering faith in God, love, and devotion to family. A Rosary, followed by Mass will be held February 7th, 10 am, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 12500 Carmel Ave NE Albuquerque, NM 87122. Ester cared for animals and provided support to "Whiskers and Things" Consignment Shop, Laguna Madre Humane Society.
