BOURGEOIS, FLORENCE ANNE Florence Anne Bourgeois, age 90, passed away quietly surrounded by her extended family on January 25, 2015. Flo was a proponent of women's educational abilities. She graduated from The University of Denver with a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the age of 20. She went on to become the first woman Civil Engineer for the Los Angeles County Road Department designing many bridges and underpasses. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward J. Bourgeois in 2007. She leaves behind daughter, Janice Bourgeois, grandsons Benjamin Lockyer, Daniel Lockyer, and Steven Lockyer, her great-granddaughter Cailyn Lockyer and great-grandson Zachary Metz. She also leaves behind two sons Alan Bourgeois, granddaughter Lauren Bourgeois; Jon Bourgeois (Christine), grandson Kristopher Bourgeois (Rachelle), great-grandson Keagan and great-granddaughter Makayla and granddaughter Brittany Zoota and great-granddaughters Triniti and Katelynn. Flo leaves a wonderful legacy of love, compassion and forgiveness. She will be forever in our hearts.
