SAAL, BONNIE Bonnie Saal, of Albuquerque, NM, age 67, beloved mother, sister, and friend, died peacefully, January 20, 2015. She was born in Los Angeles, CA, April 6, 1947, to Manuel and Mary Brito and was the eldest of four children. Bonnie grew up in Albuquerque and received her Master's Degree from Eastern New Mexico University. Bonnie had an exceptional love of teaching and spent 42 years inspiring, challenging and caring for future generations as a special education high school teacher. The lives she touched span the globe as she taught in the United Kingdom for almost a decade before returning to teach at Highland High, and then La Cueva-where she retired at the end of 2014. She loved to read, spend time with her dog Ellie and travel. Her time in Europe was especially meaningful for her. Bonnie will be remembered equally for her strength and sweetness. She is survived by her daughter, Kate and son, Todd. Bonnie's family is grateful for all of the caregivers who showed such incredible kindness and love. Thank you for taking such great care of our mom this last year.
