MONTOYA, THOMAS RICHARD age 52, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 to be with his mother, Caroline Montoya and his brother, John Montoya. Tommy will be remembered as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. Tom is survived by his father, Manuel Montoya; his brothers, Willie and Steve Montoya and by his sister, Felicia Giron. Tom is also survived by Veronica Montoya; children, Manuel Montoya, Gabrielle Montoya and Aleasha Beltran. Tom has four grandchildren, Antonio Montoya, Andres Beltran, Victoria Beltran and Isabelle Beltran. Tom was a thirty one year veteran of the United States Postal Service and a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Tommy aka "Tom the Great Mint Buns", was always quick to laugh and make others laugh as well. His larger than life personality and joy will always be remembered by all who met him. We will celebrate his passing knowing that there is a heaven and Tommy is at peace and smiling down on us. Services will be held at Queen of Heaven Catholic Parish, 5311 Phoenix Ave. NW., near San Mateo and Menaul, on Friday, January 16th, 2015. The Rosary will be recited at 9:30am with the Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 10:00 am. Interment will then take place at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. A post service gathering will be held at, Indoor Party Tyme, 3880 Menaul NE. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST. NW. ABQ. 505-343-8008.
