UHRICH, CATHERINE Age 83, a resident of Rio Rancho for 21 years, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014. She was born in Dixon, NE on October 13, 1930, to James and Rose (McGuirk) McGowen. Kitty married Larry Uhrich June 14, 1954 in Hartington, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Cabrini Schillig; grandson, Andrew Shoemaker; sister Helen. Kitty is survived by her husband, Larry Uhrich; children, Joe, Terry (Tammy), Jack (Nyki), Catherine Herbert (Patrick), Ed (Gloria); 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Margaret Sudbeck, Sr. Jane McGowen, Sr. Bernadette McGowen. She was a charter member of St. John Vianney Parish and was a member of "Right to Life" in both Rio Rancho and Eau Claire, WI. Kitty loved to sew, knit and cook. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family. A visitation will be held at 10:00 am with the recitation of the Rosary at 10:30 am following with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am on Monday, July 7, 2014 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 1001 Meteor Avenue NE, Rio Rancho, NM. Interment to follow at 3:00 pm at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 North Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe, NM.
