WINGERT, SHARRON "PIDGE" Sharron "Pidge" Wingert, 70, a resident of Albuquerque since 1973, passed away on April 17, 2014 after a short battle with cancer. She is survived by her three children and seven grandchildren, Shelley Williams (Brenna, Olivia), Jamie Durkin (Abby, Ellie, Leia) and Grant Wingert (Addyson, Brody). Pidge was born in Beatrice, NE on March 25, 1944 and attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. In Albuquerque, Pidge was a teacher for many years and finished her career as a twice-exceptional teacher at Hodgin Elementary School. She loved to teach and she touched so many lives with her positive influence. Pidge was actively involved in the New Mexico Arts and Crafts Fair and was a member of the Albuquerque Rotary Club. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust NE, Albuquerque, NM.
