GRAHAM, MARGARET ANNA (MULLEN) passed away on March 23, 2014, after a brief illness. She passed peacefully and surrounded by family. Margaret was born in Denver, CO, on October 11, 1918. She is survived by her daughter Donna and son-in-law (D'Arcy White); her son Dennis and daughter-in-law Angela; two grandchildren Genevieve and Jerry; and two nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank, parents Edmund L. Mullen and Mary Anne (Thomas), and her brother Edmund (Eddy). Margaret was raised in Denver, graduating from Loretto Heights College in 1940 and earning her Masters in Sociology from St. Louis University in 1942. She served as a medical social worker for the Red Cross during WW II at Bruns General Hospital in Santa Fe, NM, where she met her future husband, Frank E. Graham, who worked as a hospital administrator in the US Army. After the war they moved to Albuquerque where they raised their two children. Frank was a teacher in APS while Margaret worked at the Catholic Social Services adoption agency and then for many years at St. Joseph's Hospital, where she retired in 1984. She did volunteer work with the elderly after her retirement. She moved to Longmont in 1996 to be near her grandchildren. Margaret loved her family, her church, reading, a good cocktail, and playing bridge. She was a delight to her friends and a gift to her family. A rosary will be held at St. Francis of Assisi parish in Longmont this Saturday morning, March 29th, at 9:30, followed by the Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 AM. She will be interred with her husband Frank at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Catholic Charities, or to a charity of your choice.
