SOSA, DANIEL "HENRY" Our beloved Brother, Uncle, and Great Uncle passed on to be with his devoted mother, Valentina, father Alfonso-a military man, brother Frank, and sister Alpha Quill. He was 71 years old. He was born in Albuquerque (Barelas) and grew-up in the North Valley where the family lived at the time. The family was originally from Mora, New Mexico. He attended Valley High School where he excelled in sports. He held the record (ten years) in football for longest run back for a touch down from scrimmage. He excelled in track, wrestling, and baseball, and also was a Golden Gloves fighter. After high school he joined the New Mexico Air National Guard and then enlisted into the US Army during the Vietnam-era where he became 100% disabled and was treated by the Albuquerque VA Medical Center for most of his life. He passed away at the VA Medical Center. Employees of the VA took very good care of his medical needs and were there for him during most of his life. He lived independently. Our Mother and he were very close and took care of one another. Our mother and former Governor Apodaca (his former coach at Valley High School), were instrumental in acquiring his military disability. Everyone he met he befriended. He was especially close to Teddy, his pet dog. During the last three years, his caregivers were Dianne Miller and Julia Serna. He was the fourth eldest and is survived by his oldest brother Dr Luis Roberto, PhD, (wife, Marsha, deceased, former wives, Dolores and Doris) and significant other, Virginia, brother, Tom and wife Isabela, brother John and wife Iris, (former wife, Marcella Rubi) brother, Ernie and wife Julia (former wife, Connie).
