GARCIA, MAX R. age 80, passed away at home, Sunday, September 29, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Max was a Monarca for over 30 years and a respected leader of many Matachines. As well, he worked as a plumber and tractor operator. Max was preceded in death by his four sons and is survived by his loving wife, Elsie "Mom"; sons, Russell, Frank and wife Alice; daughters, Maxine and husband Lee and Betty; two brothers; five sisters; eleven grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; as well as many other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at Holy Child Parish in Carnuel, NM. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 7:00 pm. A Communion Service will be celebrated on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 10:00 am. Private family burial will take place at a later time. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST. NW.
