HATTON, ALTA L. age 93, passed away at home on Monday, September 23, 2013 surrounded by her family. She is now in the presence of her Lord whom she served faithfully. She was born near Mills, New Mexico and raised in Springer, New Mexico as a member of the large Howell family. Alta was a charter member of Albuquerque Bible Church. Raising a family, teaching numerous Bible studies and being a pastor's wife made for a full life. She was fearless and faced life head on. She left a great legacy of love, faithfulness and generosity. Alta was preceded in death by her beloved husband O. Carl Hatton. She is survived by daughter, Carla and husband Ken Leppke; son, Edwin and wife Carla Jo Hatton; daughter, Sandra and husband Terry Peterson and daughter, Martha and husband Warren Grunau; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous other dear family and friends who loved and will miss her. Services will be held at Albuquerque Bible Church, 320 Montano Rd. NW. Visitation will be on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 10:00am with Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park and Mausoleum, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to Gideons Intl., 3020 Camino Real Ct. NE, ABQ, NM. 87111 or to the "Missionary Fund" at Albuquerque Bible Church, 320 Montano Rd. NW, ABQ., NM 87107.
