MAYBURY, LINDA GERKEN Our beloved Linda passed away peacefully on June 19, 2013, following a long and courageous battle. She was born May 27, 1947, and the Albuquerque area was her home for the first 22 and last 25 years of her life. Her glass was always at least half full, and her wonderful laugh will keep us smiling. Linda was a graduate of St. Pius X High School in Albuquerque and Incarnate Word College in Texas, and she earned graduate degrees in education and human resources. She served her country in the United States Army, based primarily in Virginia, where she met the love of her life. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Mary Margaret (Boehning) Gerken. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Rick Maybury; brothers, Gerry Gerken, Mark Gerken and Matt Gerken; sisters, Jan Wood, Carol Henry and Jean Bussemeier; stepdaughter, Stephanie Maybury; and several nieces and nephews. Our memorial service for Linda will be at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd on Thursday, June 27th at 6:45pm.
