PRIDHAM, DOUGLAS WILLARD died June 5, 2013, in Albuquerque, N.M. Born June 26, 1936, in Portsmouth, N.H., Doug served in the U.S. Navy Reserve for 26 years and retired from the University of New Mexico. He is remembered as a loving, friendly, cheerful, kind, gentle, generous and patriotic man who loved to tell stories. He left his mark by inspiring others to learn and tell stories of their own. He lived every day to its fullest, was a gentleman to the end, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Doug leaves behind wife, Elizabeth Pridham; two children and their spouses, Jill Stallcup (Michael), and Peter Pridham (Maryhelen); one brother, Sherman Pridham, and family; one sister, Beryl Claybaugh, and family; his grandchildren, Katie Stallcup, Laura Samples, Peggy Esqiubel-Baca, Patricia Esquibel; great-granddaughter, Collett Gallegos; special cousins, Linda Kolle (Ed), and Margie Collins (Bob); many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many more family and friends. Special thanks to his many doctors through the years, as well as UNMH-MICU. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the charity of your choice. A graveside service will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 11th. Arrangements through Riverside Funeral Home.
