PARKER, BEVERLY H. a resident of Albuquerque for 56 years, went home to the Lord on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 after a lengthy illness. She was born to James and Lora Hibbetts on December 2, 1930 in Amarillo, TX. She attended Texas Tech where she earned her degree in Physical Education and English. Her first teaching job was in Gallup, NM in 1954. She moved to Albuquerque in 1957 where she taught at John Adams Junior High. While teaching at John Adams she met her future husband, Earl Parker Jr. at the beginning of the 1960-1961 school year. They were married at the end of that school year on June 5, 1961. She continued her teaching career at John Adams before moving on to teach at West Mesa High School; retiring in 1988. She had an indomitable spirit and was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Zana Prime. She is survived by Earl, her husband of 53 years; sons Eric, Todd, Guy and wife Kimberly, of Albuquerque; daughter Kim Lillian Franklin and husband Keith of Phoenix, AZ; and grandchildren Mark and Amanda Franklin of Phoenix, AZ, and Killian and Lora Parker of Albuquerque. Beverly was a beautiful person and one of the toughest women any of us has ever had the privilege to know. She was much loved and will be greatly missed. Her wish was that no public services be held. Please consider a donation to Animal Humane New Mexico in her memory.
