SANCHEZ, JAKE D. was born on March 27, 1926 in Magdalena, N.M. and passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He will be remembered as a hardworking man; a roofer, miner and a woodcutter. Jake enjoyed building with wood, loved playing solitaire and spend time with his family. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carolina Sanchez. He is survived by his five children, Mary Lucero of CA., Alice Armijo of Abq, Jake Sanchez Jr. of Abq, David Sanchez of Abq, Sandy Carabajal and husband, Mauricio of CA; nine grandchildren; twelve great- grandchildren, sister, Stella Cordova and husband, Ernest of La Joya, NM.; brother, Ernest Sanchez of CA. and many other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd. SE. Rio Rancho, on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 10:30am.
