STAHL, ALICE FLICKINGER Born March 28, 1917 in Shepherdstown, WV, died Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the age of 95. She was married on May 31, 1941 to Kenneth Stahl, who preceded her in death shortly after their sixtieth anniversary. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Moore and her husband, Michael of Albuquerque; son, Ken of Claremont, CA; granddaughters, Katy Coan and her husband, Ben, and Kristin Moore; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Alice was a graduate of Handley High School in Winchester, VA and Carthage College in Carthage, IL. During World War II, she taught biology in Nauvoo, IL. Alice was a homemaker and active volunteer in numerous organizations. Among her volunteer activities were Meals on Wheels, Phillips Chapel Day Care Center, ARC of New Mexico, and Cub Scouts. She was also an active member of the University of New Mexico Faculty Women's Club and co-founded International Neighbors, an organization of faculty women and wives of international students.
