LOPEZ, EMILIO age 80, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on September 14, 2012, at home with his family at his side. Mr. Lopez is survived by his children, Joseph M. Lopez, James E. Lopez and wife, Karen, Angela Y. Dominguez and husband, Frank, Jerry P. Lopez and wife, Michelle; godson, Jose Telles; sisters, Maria Pino, and Erlinda Martinez; brothers, Bonificio Lopez and wife, Evangeline, Cecilio Lopez and wife, Margaret, and Reynaldo Lopez; thirteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Lopez was preceded in death by his wife, Veneranda of 49 years and 8 months; parents, Felipe and Gertrude Lopez; brother, Lorenzo and wife, Josephine; and sister Carmen Martinez. Mr. Lopez was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. Visitation will be Monday, September 17, 2012 in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. and from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Church of the Ascension, 2150 Raymac SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Chachita. Final visitation will be Tuesday, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Father Edmund Savilla, presider. Interment will follow at Mr. Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thank you to nurse Terri, Jude, Eladia and Yvonne from NM Hospice for their loving care.
