SCHNEIDER, ELLEN JANE Age 81, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2012. She was born on November 19, 1930 to Frederick Francis and Sarah Belle (Bownes) Chapman of South Windsor, CT. She will be remembered for her excellent gardening skills. "She had a green thumb like no other," and her orchids are proof of that fact. Mrs. Schneider was, also very crafty and an excellent cook. She had a vast collection of cookbooks. Mr. and Mrs. Schneider were long time members of the Veteran Motor Car Club of America. Mrs. Schneider was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Schneider, and a grandson, Christopher Szarek. She is survived by her daughters, Gail Mulka and husband, Larry, of Rio Rancho, NM, Nora Durso and husband, Bob, of Rockfall, CT, and Jane Szarek and husband, Bob, of Navarre, FL; granddaughters, Kelly Stratman and husband, Jim, Kathryn Garrett and husband, Jabari, and Sara Durso; great-grandson, Jakob Stratman; and sister, Betty Murray.
