WILSON -- CLAUDE (BOB) R. Age 85, he passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 1, 2012. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Shirley M. Wilson; his children, Stephen R. Wilson, Connie K. Sauceda (John) and Carolyn M. Wilson; along with two grandchildren, Robert B. Sauceda (Amanda) and Leigh A. Sauceda; his sister, Marcele Rickner; nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Eva Wilson and his brothers, Bernard and William Wilson. Bob was a loving husband and father, known by family and friends alike for his kindness and wisdom, wonderful sense of humor and his love for his Lord. Bob was born in Waterloo, Iowa on March 28, 1927. He attended Moody Bible Institute, training in the ministry and serving Christ faithfully for 64 years before retiring from ministry. He also attended Kings College and graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in Psychology. Bob served in Korea with the Army during the Korean War. When he returned from Korea, he married Shirley Elledge in Denver, Colorado. He served as Personnel Director for the State of Colorado for 28 years, working for the Division of Wildlife and Natural Resources before retiring. After retirement, Bob and Shirley entered full-time ministry, going to the Philippines as missionaries. Bob faithfully served churches in Boulder, Pine Valley and Westminster, Colorado, Phoenix, Arizona and Albuquerque, New Mexico. Bob also had the opportunity to preach in many churches throughout the United States and the world as a visiting minister. He will be missed! A memorial service will be held October 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Hope Church, 4710 Juan Tabo, Albuquerque, NM with interment to follow at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe at 2:15 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Children's Shelter of Cebu, Philippines, P.O.
