CATES -- CHRISTOPHER C. Age 62, born September 18th, 1949 in Santa Monica, California, died in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Saturday, April 28th, 2012. He was a loving father to Emma (11 years old) and Christopher Jr. (13 years old), a devoted son to Lolita and Charles Cates and an affectionate brother to Candy and Cathy Cates. By 1972, Chris made New Mexico his permanent home. In the five decades he lived in New Mexico he owned a buffalo ranch, a restaurant/bar and business (Christopher's Enterprises). This business allowed Chris to live his dream of working with Native American cultures and selling beautiful one-of-a-kind museum quality jewelry and art around the world. His vision and commitment to beauty and his generosity to all those who knew him will be missed.
