BLACKWELL -- JAMES I. Age 92, passed away May 2, 2012. He was born in Henderson County, Texas, on May 9, 1919. He served proudly in the U.S. Army for more than twenty years, including a tour of North Africa and Sicily during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Lee Blackwell, and his daughter Audrey. He is survived by his son, James Lee Blackwell and wife Patricia; his daughter, Leslie Blackwell Galen, husband Geoffrey, and granddaughter Alison; and his dearest friend, Mrs. Joyce Lowry. Jim was an honorable man, a loyal friend, and a loving father and grandfather. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
