PULSIFER -- EDWARD T. SR. Edward lost his battle with brain cancer at the age of 77. He was born in Dover and in his younger years lived in Farmington, New Hampshire. He died peacefully on Saturday, April 28, 2012 surrounded by his devoted family. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for 16 years, and retired in 1968 due to health issues. For the rest of his working life, he worked for the USPS in Albuquerque. He also worked many years at the Kirtland AFB commissary. Throughout his life, he received many commendations for his outstanding work ethic and commitment to helping others. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 49 years, Lily; four children, Ginger Schoenstein (Richard), Edward Jr., Anna Marie Castellano (Joe), and Paula Vigil (Rafael); and his beloved grandchildren, Sarah and Audrey Schoenstein, Dylan and Shane Pulsifer, Malena Ryckman, Lauren, Lidia and Lila Castellano, Joseph and Christian Sanchez, Vanessa and Bubba Vigil. He is also survived by his sister, Paula Lynch (Russ). He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Albert; brother, Bobby; and sister, Barbara. He is also mourned by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Ed lived his life to the fullest. Everyone he met became his friend. His sense of humor was legendary and made us laugh every day, right until the end of his life. The greatest joy of his life was attending the sporting events of his grandchildren. Everyone knew him as "Mr. Ed" and would clear the path when they saw his scooter coming. We extend a heartfelt thank-you to the medical staff at the VA hospital and AmberCare Hospice. Their devotion to his care was exemplary and helped us through this difficult journey. Visitation is Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at St. Therese of the Little Flower, 300 Mildred Ave NW with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Mt.
