JONES -- EARL N. 1931 - 2012 age 80, a resident of Mountainair, went to be with his heavenly Father on Friday, April 13, 2012. Earl was a member of the Mountainair Church of the Nazarene. He was a graduate of the Mountainair High School class of 1950 and enjoyed gunsmithing and hunting. He owned a tire and lube shop for 20 years. The walls of the shop were covered in scriptures and were a testimony to his life. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Fae and Irene Jones; sisters, Cassie, Corine and Phyllis and a granddaughter, Monique Torres. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Shirley Jones; children, Wayne Jones and wife, Gayle, David Jones, Danny Jones and wife, Cindy and Sherry Young and husband, David; sisters Peggy Watts and Clyrice Leasure and husband, Charles. Also surviving are three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. All services will be held on Monday, April 16, 2012 at the Mountainair Church of the Nazarene, beginning with a viewing at 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM with Pastor Paul Baker officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountainair Cemetery.
