STONE -- JUSTIN Age 95. He began this lifetime's journey on November 20th, 1916, and completed his work on March 28th, 2012, at his home in Albuquerque, surrounded by a group of loving friends who valued him for his life's many avocations - T'ai Chi Chih originator, mentor, teacher, friend, musician, painter, author and humanist. Justin enjoyed successful careers in music (as an ASCAP composer and Big Band leader in New York City) and finance (as the owner of a half seat on the NYSE). He was also an accomplished author for Good Karma Publishing, abstract painter and poet who created a form called "Pyramid Poetry." Justin left the financial world in 1953 to take the first of many trips to the Far East, where he practiced with Yogis in India and Zen monks in Japan. He considers these trips the most important part of his life. After practicing and teaching T'ai Chi Ch'uan for many years, he originated T'ai Chi Chih, a moving meditation with far-reaching health and well-being effects in 1974. He saw the benefit of this new discipline which works with the Chi (life force or prana). T'ai Chi Chih movements were easy to learn and practice, and as such have spread throughout the world. There are now over 2,500 accredited teachers. Justin considered the circulation and balancing of Chi to be the most important secret of life. He regularly received letters from practitioners who said that T'ai Chi Chih had changed their lives. A T'ai Chi Chih practice celebrating Justin is planned for Sunday, May 6th at 4pm at the T'ai Chi Chih Center (Scottsdale Village, Eubank and Candelaria) in Albuquerque. Please visit, and add your voice to, the online remembrance page on www.taichichih.org. Thank you for your life Justin!
