BARELA -- ALFIDES M. age 69, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on March 29, 2012. Mrs. Barela is survived by her beloved husband of fifty-three years, Preciliano Barela; daughters, Carol Barela, and Romana Barela; son, Jonathan Padilla; sister, Betty Martinez; brother in law, Toribio Barela and wife, Lilly; ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, Visitation will be Monday, April 2, 2012 in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 10:00 a.m. by Mary Vallejos. A Funeral Service will be held following the Rosary at 10:30 a.m., Pastor Anthony G. Martinez, presider. Interment will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery.
