ESCARCIDA -- GILBERT G. 85, a resident of Albuquerque, born in Placitas, NM, went peacefully with the Lord surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, January 18, 2012. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Angie; daughter, Kathleen; and brother, Eloy. Gilbert is survived by his daughters, Martha Cleveland and husband Deacon Larry, Geri Anderson and husband Spencer Sr.; son, Gilbert J. Escarcida and wife Nellie; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; as well as many other family and friends who love and will miss him. Services will be held at Queen of Heaven Parish, 5310 Clarmonte NE, on Tuesday, January 24, 2012. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00am with Fr. William Young Officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Spencer Anderson, Jr., Beau Anderson, Sean Escarcida, Isabel, Marisol, Paul Gomez.
