PADILLA -- DAVID was born July 8, 1937 in Albuquerque, NM. A lifelong resident of Albuquerque, he passed away on Monday, January 2, 2012 at the age of 74. David was a longtime member of the Catholic Church and honorably served his country in the US Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melesandro and Pilar S. Padilla; and sisters, Patsy and Reynelda. David is survived by his son, Gabriel Padilla of California; sister, Helen P. Baca of Albuquerque; brother, Lionel Padilla of California; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends who love and will miss him. A Rosary will be recited in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 7:00pm. Burial will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 10:30am with US Navy Honors. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th Street NW, ABQ. 505-343-8008.
