CARLISLE -- I. R. "TAD" Age 83, passed away Friday, January 6, 2012 at Vista Care at Lovelace. Mr. Carlisle was a veteran of W.W. II having served in the United States Marine Corps. He received his B.S. Degree from Texas College of Mines (UTEP) in Geology. He operated his own business, serving the oil and mining industry as a Mechanical Engineer. Tad was a resident of Tijeras for 34 years, in the home designed and built by Tad and Nancy together. He was an avid sportsman, enjoyed the out doors and was a mentor and role model to many young men in influencing their lives. Tad is survived by his wife, Nancy; their son, Timothy Reid Carlisle (Lora) of Boerine, TX; and daughter, Peggy June Disbrow of Dickinson, Texas. He leaves behind his five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
