GONZALEZ -- MABEL R. Age 88, a resident of Albuquerque, went home to God on Thursday, January 5, 2012. She is survived by her husband, Pedro (Pete) Gonzalez; three children, Bobby (Maria) Marquez, Georgia (Ron) Hamilton and Pete (Inga) Gonzalez Jr.; grandchildren, Leah Saavedra, Gary (Sheryl) Saavedra, Eric (Elisa) Saavedra, Lori (Scott) Trembley, Kristopher Gonzalez, Bobbie (Ricky Goroum) Marquez; great-grandchildren, Nicole LaBo, Nevin LaBo, Miranda Saavedra, Brenden Kirk, Cierra Saavedra, Landen Goroum, Evan Saavedra, Dylan Trembley, Connor Trembley; brothers, Louie Rivera, Elmon Rivera, Jimmy Rivera, Johnny Rivera, Camilo (Theresa) Rivera Jr., Ricky Rivera; sisters, Erlinda (Gus) Bangas, Jenny (Justin) Armijo, Josie (Richard) Vargas, Vera (Fred) Perea. Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, Camilo Rivera Sr. and Antonia Duran. She was a member of Third Order Franciscans and was also a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. She was proactive in caring for the needy in terms of food and clothing. Mabel served as a volunteer at the VA Medical Center. Mabel supported her husband while he was Chapter Commander of the POW. Mabel was very sociable in any environment. She really enjoyed spending time at the casino. She was artistic and loved horse racing. Above all she was a great cook and loved her family and friends unconditionally. Rosary will be recited January 9, 2012, 10:30 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Parish, 5310 Claremont Ave NE, Albuquerque, with Deacon Pilar reciting. Mass will follow the Rosary at Queen of Heaven Parish.
