NICHOLSON -- MAVIS WILLIAMS Age 86, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, died Wednesday, November 16, 2011 in Albuquerque. Mavis was born September 4, 1925 in Bivins, Texas to George and Mamie Parker. She was retired from the Albuquerque Independent School District where she was a secretary. Mavis was a member of Asbury Methodist Church; she loved to travel and especially liked cruises. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mamie Parker, and her son, Ken Williams. She is survived by one sister, Maurine Williams of Amarillo, Texas; a nephew, Danny Williams and wife Kay of Amarillo, Texas; and numerous other cousins. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Huffines Cemetery Foundation Inc., P.O. Box 491 Atlanta, Texas 75551. Services will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2011 at 2:00 PM AT Hanner Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be Saturday, November 19, 2011 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
