MCGILL -- ANN C. MAZZARELLA Passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at the age of 89. Ann was born in Port Chester, New York, where she lived and was married to George (Mickey) McGill in 1947. They later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where they lived for many years. Her beloved husband preceded her in death, as did her parents, Josephine and Salvatore Mazzarella. Ann is survived by her sisters, Marion Durante and Frances Delpha, as well as her many nieces and nephews. Ann spent her last days happily at Brookdale at Valencia Retirement Center. She was a longtime volunteer with a literacy program in Tulsa, teaching many children and adults to read. Ann was an avid reader and storyteller, and her true passion was sharing that gift with others. She will be sorely missed, and always loved. A celebration of Ann's life will be held at Brookdale at Valencia on Saturday, November 12, 2011, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to the American Heart Association.
