HOWARD -- JAMES SCOTT Age 55, passed away Monday, October 10, after an extended illness. Born in Albuquerque on November 22, 1955, Jamie lived most of his life in his beloved New Mexico, residing most recently in Los Lunas. An accomplished electrician, he achieved the rank of journeyman before becoming too ill to work. He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and paid his dues faithfully; in turn, the union played an important role of support throughout his life and illness. Jamie is survived by his loving mother, Betty Sue Howard, of Piggott, AR; and by his brothers and sisters, Frank Howard, Navajo Dam, NM, Jacquie Black (Butch) and Phil Howard, Elk City, OK, Suzi Howard, Decatur, GA, Micquie Howard, Albuquerque; nieces and nephews, Scott Guidry, Sedalia, MO, LouDonna Malone, Mountain Home, AR, Austin Smyth, Winston, NM, Erin Gibbins, Elk City, Janet Howard, St. Petersburg, FL, Sarah Phillips, San Francisco, CA, Jennifer Howard, Mesquite, NV, PJ Howard, Albuquerque, Raime Howard, Pecos, NM. Dear friends include Janice and Dennis Carrier and Diane and Bobby Porter. Jamie is predeceased by his father, John Ray Howard. Eddie's Family Funeral Home, Melbourne, AR, is in charge of arrangements. A Memorial Service for close friends and family will be held on Thanksgiving Day in Navajo Dam. Donations may be directed to the Watermelon Mountain Ranch, a no-kill animal shelter in Rio Rancho, NM.
