ADAMS -- DONALD LOCKWOOD Passed away October 6, 2011 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. He is survived by his wife Marjorie, his high school sweetheart; four children; and eight grandchildren. Donald was born and raised in Westchester County, New York. His ancestors include Col. Elias Dayton of New Jersey, who was one of the members of George Washington's staff, and Henry Howland, brother of John Howland of the Mayflower Compact in Massachusetts. Donald held an MBA degree from New York University and taught for over eighteen years at local colleges and universities. He ran a family construction business in New York City and was a Customer Relation Specialist for Charlbet's, Inc. in Hyannis, Massachusetts from 1974 to 1982. A member of Gideons International since 1973 and St. Francis Episcopal Church, Donald was preceded by his parents, two sisters and a brother. He served in the US Army and was honorably discharged as Lieutenant in the Artillery. Dad (Donald) was much loved and we will miss him very much. A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 9, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at St Francis Episcopal Church, 2903 Cabezon Blvd. SE, Rio Rancho, New Mexico 87124 with a reception following.
